Sensitive passing away of Dr. Manuel Paniagua, past president and founder Cuban Society of Gastroenterology

On September 11, at 87 years of age, Dr. Manuel Paniagua, founder and former president of the Cuban Society of Gastroenterology passed away.

Dr. Paniagua was a man of science and a very good friend. Tireless fighter in his educational and investigative work, with which he contributed to the training of numerous gastroenterologists throughout the country and internationally.

He received more than 20 international and national prizes. His latest scientific work, the book Gastroenterology and Clinical Hepatology, published in 2015 is available in the Virtual Health Library of Cuba with free access.
